Longwell Riess has a unique specialty as counsel on real estate and facility management matters for sports and entertainment clients.

We draw on our real estate, public finance and public-private partnership expertise to advise owners, operators and tenants of sports and entertainment venues.

Whether publicly or private owned, sports and entertainment venues are real estate projects. For over 20 years, Longwell Riess attorneys have played an integral role in the development, financing and management of major sports and entertainment venues, including the Caesars Superdome, Smoothie King Center, Saenger Theatre, Joy Theater, Greek Theater, the Orpheum Theatre, the New Orleans Saints Training Facility, Zephyr Field and the Baton Rouge River Center.

From large-scale development projects to all aspects of facility operation and management, we structure, negotiate and document partnerships among owners (public and private), managers, teams, promoters, concessionaires, public authorities and districts, sponsors, advertisers, contractors, suppliers, festivals, collegiate authorities, professional and collegiate bowls, professional sports leagues, cellular and wireless network providers and various other users of sports and entertainment facilities. Noteworthy clients include ASM Global, the largest venue management company and live event producer in the world, with over 10,000 venues under management. Longwell Riess serves as outside general counsel for ASM’s Louisiana portfolio.
